Official demo identity

The demo has its own Steam App ID, separate from the full game. That is normal for Steam demos. The developer also maintains an itch.io page for the same sample, where the downloadable Windows ZIP was displayed as 620 MB during the evidence check.

Use either official surface. This guide does not repackage the ZIP, add a launcher, or provide a mirror because doing so would break the direct identity chain between player and developer.

What the demo is designed to show

Yellow Smile describes the demo as a roughly 15-minute sample of the early-2000s Poland setting. It includes driving and exploration on foot, the two activity types that define the full game. Treat it as a tone and compatibility check rather than a promise that every story beat or achievement appears.

The full release is officially estimated at about one hour. The demo is therefore a short slice, not a free edition of the complete story.

A useful 15-minute test checklist

• Confirm the game launches cleanly on your Windows version.
• Check steering and camera behavior with mouse and keyboard.
• Test subtitle readability at your chosen resolution.
• Watch frame pacing during driving and on-foot forest scenes.
• Confirm the atmosphere and slow narrative pace suit you before buying.

Do not assume demo progress transfers

No official save-transfer promise was verified. Finish the sample for evaluation, but plan to begin the released game from its own opening. Likewise, a demo bug report or performance result may describe an older build and should not automatically be treated as the current full release.
